Equipment education

Choose clubs and accessories by fit, current needs, budget, and return options—not by age labels or marketing alone.

A simple buying order

  1. Identify where and how often the child will play.
  2. Check height, club length, total weight, and grip comfort.
  3. Choose the smallest useful set rather than the largest bundle.
  4. Compare return, exchange, and fit-adjustment policies.
  5. Leave room in the budget for lessons, practice, course fees, and replacement balls.

How our buying guides work

Research-based comparisons use manufacturer specifications, current policies, reputable third-party sources, and clearly explained selection criteria. We do not describe a product as personally tested unless the owner supplies evidence of that testing. Commercial relationships are disclosed near recommendations and links.

Questions to ask before checkout

  • Does the length suit the child’s current height and posture?
  • Can the child make a balanced swing without fighting the club’s weight?
  • Which clubs are actually needed for the planned activity?
  • What happens if the size is wrong or the child grows quickly?
  • Is a qualified local fitting or instructor check available?
